The bowling team finished their season on March 1 at the state meet in Wichita.

Malia Toomay and Amanda Turvey, sophomores went to state and placed 46th and 55th out of 72 girls competing.

According to William Lowe, head coach, the varsity girls team missed going to the state tournament by only 17 pins, and it was very close with scores at their regional meet.

Lowe said, “My favorite part was being able to represent Olathe South at the state tournament because it is always an accomplishment and one of the best rewards as a coach. With a very young boys team (seven ninth graders) this year, we are looking forward to a very good 2019 season.”
