Kacey Kennett plans on playing at FHSU

Kacey Kennet, senior has made a verbal agreement to play basketball at Fort Hayes State University. Kacey Kennet is a point guard for the varsity basketball team and plans to add her point guard skills to FHSU.

Kennet said, “I look forward just to experience playing college basketball and to give all I have to FHSU.”

The official agreement to play has to be confirmed by April 7. On playing basketball at FHSU Kennet said, “it has always been a dream of mine to play college ball and I’m glad I get to have this experience.”

Kennet plans to contribute a lot to this FHSU team. Kennet said, “I plan to contribute 100% of myself, I will contribute a leadership role in a point guard, and I will contribute a strong defensive and team player.”

Kennet had an excellent season last year and hopes to have another one this year as a senior. She has an average of 10.3 points a game, a 40% field goal average, and a free throw percentage of 79.2%.

The women’s basketball team last season finished 9-11 overall. Kennet said, “last season was a little bit of a disappointment but I think myself and our team played to the best of our ability and I think we’ll have a successful season this year.”

Kennet’s team mate Zoe Matje, senior also thinks she will have a successful future. Matje said, “I know Kacey is a great player and she will do great at FHSU.”
