For most people, the question of when to decorate for Christmas is typically divided into two groups: after Halloween and after Thanksgiving.
“I would say around like the start of December is the right time,’’ Rylan Armstrong said.
Decorating begins for some people the day after Thanksgiving
“Anywhere from like, a week before Thanksgiving to after Thanksgiving? I think there’s like such thing as too late, but yeah,’’ said Max Armstrong
After Thanksgiving, a lot of people think that is the right time to start decorating for Christmas
“My family usually decorates like the day after Thanksgiving,’’ Olivia Ashworth said.
People decorate for Christmas around Thanksgiving sometime in December.
“It’s like mid-December, probably around December 12 or some,’’ Rylan said.
Some people are decorated around December or November
“We actually decorated really early this year. We put our lights up like a week ago, so those lights have been on and in our house, we got our Christmas trees up like last week as well. We won’t really like deck out the house until, like after Thanksgiving,’’ Max said.
Some people will decorate their house but they slowly go out more as Christmas comes.
“[We] start the day after Thanksgiving,’’ Olivia said.
Some people listen to Christmas music and some do not at all
“I don’t really listen to Christmas music. I listen to my Travis Scott,’’ Rylan said.
Most people start listening to Christmas music around December or November
“After Thanksgiving for sure,’’ Max said
Teachers usually play Christmas music during work time sometime in November
“Well, at school, a lot of teachers, play it kind of like in the middle of November, but I usually start, after I put up decorations.,’’ Olivia said
People have things that they do every year and some do whatever.
“Probably eating with my family and stuff like with my group,’’ Rylan said.
Most of the time people come to family or family come to them if they live far away.
“We don’t really have, I mean, we go to our cousin’s house every Christmas, but that’s about it. We don’t really have any special traditions,’’ Max said.
Having people think of Christmas in a different way is ok.
“Probably it’s the birth of Jesus Christ. And I’m a Christian, that’s why,’’ Rylan said.
This is the way Max Armstrong loves Christmas.
“I really like winter. So probably like all the snow and then obviously seeing family, and then that break we get,’’ Max said.
Christmas is, most of the time, the best time to see family that you don’t get to see that much.
“My favorite thing about Christmas is seeing my family that lives out of state because I don’t get to see them that much,” Olivia said
Rylan Armstrong describes his favorite gift.
“Probably my mini fridge, because I get to drink soda upstairs,’’ Rylan said
Max Armstrong describes his favorite gift he got when he was a kid.
“Probably the drum set [I got] when I was like, fifth grade. I’ve always liked it. There’s a little loved drum, and I finally got a drum set when I was in fifth grade, but then we put it in a garage sale when I was like 12,” Max said
Olivia Ashworth describes her favorite gift.
“My favorite gift that I got was my dog, my oldest dog, because he’s the best dog ever. And that’s just my favorite gift,” Olivia said
