Corpse Bride
Corpse Bride follows a shy groom who inadvertently raises a deceased bride from the dead who assumes he is her husband. Corpse Bride was directed by Tim Burton and Mike Johnson, it was released in 2005, is once again rated PG, and it includes some amazing voice actors like Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.
Corpse Bride is once again a movie that I have watched every year during this time for as long as I can remember. The interesting look of the characters depicts the perfect Burton style and is something that is worth remembering. Their tall, skinny bodies, and deep hollowed features depict those of the dead. It is a beautiful movie, with an incredible setting and storyline. It shows deep, raw emotions, expressed in a way that leaves you feeling sympathetic towards these made up characters. Though the storyline isn't the best in the world, what Burton does with the characters and how the voice acting is done makes up for it entirely. Both do an amazing job portraying each character in their own unique and dark way. The film is beautifully crafted, breathes real emotions, and is a work of dark art.
