Valentine’s Day Activities

Don’t have a significant other to celebrate valentines with? No problem, there’s plenty of things you can do without that special someone. Although it can be discouraging to see a bunch of happy couples on social media, you’re still worthy of giving yourself a day of love.

Try a selfcare day. It may sound cheesy but we never really have time to devote a day to ourselves. Take a bubble bath with candles and rose petals. Pop popcorn and buy your favorite candies. Pick a movie (it does not need to be a chick-flick) and relax. Throw on a cheap face mask and a robe. Take the time to do something you love, something that’ll make you feel good.

If you’re already alone a lot and want to be surrounded by the people you love, have a Guy/Galentines! Grab your best buds and make a day out of it. Wear nice outfits and go out on the town together. Eat food and enjoy one another’s company. Maybe even take some pictures to post. If it’s nice outside take advantage of the weather and have a picnic. Spread the love to those who care for you the most.

Now if you’ve seen enough of your friends, and you don’t necessarily want to be alone, spend time with your family! Again Valentine’s Day is a day of love and appreciation. Cook a meal for your family and have dinner. Play games and laugh with each other. You can even make short cards saying why you love and appreciate them.

No matter what you choose to do on this special holiday make sure you’re having a good time. We all deserve to take a day out of the year to appreciate ourselves and those around us. And remember, you don’t need to be in a relationship to celebrate, just do you and have fun.
