With Christmas just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to get in the holiday spirit. Get up and get jolly because this year is in desperate need of Christmas joy. Try these five tips to help put the jingle to your bells.

Now that it’s December, pull out the tree and lights. Grab your closest friends and family and decorate the house together. Being with your loved ones during this activity helps brighten the experience. Choose a theme! Winter wonderland, or Candy Cane Lane are great starters. Begin your masterpiece.

Remember, you’re not the only one getting in the spirit. Many are beginning to put up their decorations. This creates the perfect time to go light seeing. Get in the car, turn on some Christmas tunes, and take a drive. You may even sprout some ideas for your own home.

While you’re out, you might as well stop at your local Cafe spots. During the winter months, they often have holiday specials. Try a White Chocolate Mocha or a Snowman Cookie at Starbucks. The warm drinks and cookies set a cozy mood for the evening.

When you arrive home, grab a fuzzy blanket, set the fire, and turn on your favorite Christmas movies. Tired of Home Alone or The Grinch? Try a new one! There’s plenty on Netflix including The Christmas Chronicles and Holidate because the Christmas movie selection is endless.

Finally, the most important tip: gifts! Christmas is a time of giving back to the ones you love. So set out to the stores and buy something special. You could also make something yourself. The parents always appreciate anything made with thought and love.

There’re so many more things you can do to get in the spirit. Start some new traditions you love. Hopefully these five tips will get you dreaming of a white Christmas.
