The classrooms in the graphic design classes were given new tablets to use in them.

“Thirty new tablets were ordered,” Robin Weems, graphic design teacher, stated. “They seem to get bigger every year.”

Students in these classes use the tablets for some of their assignments. “They might have to find an image on the internet and re-create it,” Weems said. “They’re also free to use when using [Adobe] Illustrator.”

The students also use them as effective learning tools. “Anything that could be done on a computer can also be done using a tablet,” Weems said.

The students also seem to enjoy them. “Some of them will jump to use them at every opportunity,” Weems said. “If they’re happy with them then I’m happy with them.”
