The Repertory Theatre class hosted three one act plays on April 1. Those three shows were “4 AM,” “After Math” and “Dear Chuck,” written by Jonathan Dorf.

The shows “were good literature and accessible to high school students,” David Hastings, theatre director, said.

These three shows were about the pain and depression a teenager may be going through, revealing through the characters what happens when a person isolates himself.

This was shown in “Dear Chuck,” where Chuck, not necessarily the main character, but the person everyone talks about or is involved with, disappears, and no one knows where he has gone.

Hastings, in regards to “Dear Chuck,” said that “hopefully it shows that people are caring about you.”

These three shows reveal that people do care about others and the different types of situations that teenagers go through and what types of teenagers go through them.

The reality shown is that each and every situation spoken about in each show can happen to anyone at anytime, according to Dorf.

These situations may be like or similar to “4 AM,” where within all of the types of teenagers, there are at least one or two that are feeling hurt and scared through this time of their life or the situation could be like what happens in “After Math,” where people have problems that must be faced within their family.
