Blind dates with books.

The library put on a special event Feb. 2 to help readers find a perfect book with just one line of text.

“We really wanted people to glance at a book and see that the library was more then just reading,” Erica Tate, librarian assistant, said.

Ten people found books that they really enjoyed and checked them out. With 30 books put out to choose from, one third of the books got checked out.

“I loved seeing students in a relaxed state and not stressing in the library,” Tate said.

Students used this time for relaxation, a chance to make cards, read, and eat candy. Other students were busy making cards and valentines for their someone special.
