The cross-country season ended on Oct. 29 with the boys team finishing 10th at the state competition.

Both teams felt that the season went well, and although there were no official records broken during the season, each player accomplished individual goals and broke their own personal records.

Although both teams ended up feeling that the season went well, the most memorable highlight came from the regional competition.

“A major highlight for our team was during regionals, when the boys team qualified to go to state,” Coach Lauren Jaqua said.

Each team also encountered their share of setbacks and challenges, including injuries to team leaders.

“A few injuries were suffered by top competitors throughout the season,” Jaqua said. “This made the competitions even more nerve-wracking.”

Despite the setbacks and achievements, both teams have goals set for next year: the boys team hopes to compete in state again, and the girls team will work toward the regional competition.
