The pep assembly on Sept. 2 featured recogonition for many state spring sports teams as well as the usual pep assembly games and drill team performances.

The softball team was commended for their second straight softball state title that came in May. Mike Allen, head coach, led the team through the state playoffs to a commanding victory over Wasburn Rural 10-3.

The track team was also recognized for their many individual and relay team accolades. Notably, Cameron Waldo, senior, placed first in the 400 meter dash and the girls 4×100 meter relay team took home a state title as well.

The gymnastics team then performed their floor routine, equipped with numerous flips, backflips and hand springs.

The varsity Golden Girls then followed up that performance with their newest routine and first pep assembly under new coach, Ali Plankers.

To cap off the assembly, Falcon Flight crew hosted a game in which students wore laundry baskets on their heads and stood on one side of the basketball floor, while on the other side, students tried to throw footballs into said baskets. Derek Smith and Tre Adger, seniors, were the pairing that won the game.
