Royals slowly making push toward October

Last May, the Kansas City Royals, were doing pretty good; however, right now they seem to be in a slump and are stuck in a losing streak.

The Royals are not doing as good as fans would like to; as of Aug. 15, the Royals have 57 wins and 60 losses and are in third in the American League Central standings. Right behind them, in fourth place, are the Chicago White Sox with 56 wins and 61 losses.

The Cleveland Indians are in first in the AL Central with 67 wins and 48 losses. The Royals are just behind the Detroit Tigers, who have 63 wins and 54 losses. The Royals won two of the three games they played against the Minnesota Twins and will be playing againt the Detroit Tigers next.

Even though it’s not looking promising for the Royals to go to the playoffs and back to the World Series, anything can happen, like when they played against the Chicago White Sox on May 28 and came back when they were losing 7-1, scoring seven runs in the ninth inning. Somehow they always seem to pull the game right back in their favor in the last few innings of the game.

No matter what happens in the next couple months with the Royals, we know that it will be an exciting season with the Royals. Maybe the new rally praying mantis that seems to bringing good luck to the Roysls, will turn this season around.
