Inclusion Connections is a nonprofit organization that works with individuals with disabilities and helps them get involved in activities and with people in their community.

Alyson Stewart, senior, volunteers at Inclusion Connections as often as she can, but mostly goes in the summer when there is no school.

She also watches Melanie Montez, freshman, with whom she has become the closest throughout her work with the group.

She has also been a Peer Mentor here for two years now and has enjoyed working with individuals with disabilities.

When Stewart is older, she wants to work with disabled kids. “I like to give back by helping others in need because it teaches me a lot about myself and I enjoy it,” Stewart said.

Inclusion Connections’ goal is to “include everyone in activities, make new friendships, and showing everyone you can do anything you want to,” Stewart, said.

Her favorite memory from this program is going to the Thirsty Palette and seeing all the different pictures that everyone painted.

Stewart works with Montez everyday and they have a very close relationship.

Inclusion Connections has changed the lives of many individuals with disabilities throughout the entire process.
