This year’s Falcon Regiment has won a variety of awards.

Out of the 26 bands that participated at the University of Central Missouri for the Festival of Champions on Oct. 17, the Falcon Regiment won third place in the finals. They placed third in Large Band Division and won the auxiliary caption award.           Their completion field show was themed “Night at the Exhibition.”

The District Marching Festival was on Oct. 5 at CBAC where the marching band performed against other schools and received positive feedback.

The Regiment also participated in the Heart of America Festival at the University of Kansas on Oct. 3. They received the Grand Champion award for the overall highest score, won the awards for best music and best general effect, and won first place in Division 1, which includes all large bands.

The judges for the festival came from around the country, including representatives from Iowa State University, Kennesaw State University, University of Northern Iowa, and Central States Judges Association.
