This year’s cross country season finished off with Bradley Zeef, junior, going to the 6A state championships and placing 33rd.

Zeef, finished the three-mile race with a time of 17:06, making his average mile pace 5:30.2.

There are about 100 athletes per race and 12 teams go to state each year.

Adam Moos, coach, said, “Next year I would like to have more cross country runners from Olathe South qualify to go to state.”

Zeef runs five days a week during off season to train and next year has the gaol of going to state again and winning first place.

He said, “After going to state this year, it will help next year so I can get used to the whole experience and see all the competition I’m going up against.”
