Eggnog Milkshake
Ingredients – 1 cup eggnog, 1 + 1/2 scoops vanilla ice cream, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, chocolate syrup (to top)
Peppermint Milkshake
Ingredients – 1 cup milk, 2 scoops vanilla ice cream, 1 tsp peppermint extract OR 2 crushed candy canes, whipped cream (to top)
Milkshake Instructions – Add all ingredients, except those labeled “to top,” into a blender, then blend until well combined and a consistent texture. Pour/scoop into a glass and serve with a spoon. Top with any remaining ingredients.
If you prefer a thinner milkshake, use more milk or less ice cream, and vice versa for a thicker milkshake.
Cinnamon Hot Chocolate
Ingredients – 2 cups milk, 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, whipped cream (to top)
Peppermint Hot Chocolate
Ingredients – 2 cups milk, 3/4 cups milk chocolate chips, 1 crushed candy cane, mini marshmallows (to top)
Hot Chocolate Instructions – Heat the milk on the stove, mixing lightly. When it gets hot enough, lower the heat to keep it warm, and add in all the remaining ingredients, except for those labeled “to top.” Continue to stir lightly until all the chocolate has melted fully mixed, then transfer to a cup. Top with any remaining ingredients.
If you would like to turn a hot chocolate recipe into a mocha recipe: Use coffee equal to 1/2 the amount of milk in the recipe, and reduce the amount of milk to 1/4 of what is in the recipe. First, brew the coffee and measure the correct amount, then add the milk, and continue with the recipe from the step that says “keep warm.”
