Many of the outfits that will be featured in the fashion show are made by students. This fashion student is working with adjusting a pattern.

The fashion classes will be hosting this year’s fashion show on March 1 at 7 p.m.

The theme for this year’s show is Metamorphosis which was chosen by Taylor Schwartz and Opal Stephens, FACS teachers.

Students from Design Trends 1 and 2, Apparel 1 and 2, and Design Studio will all have a part in the fashion show.

The students from Apparel, Design Studio and Design Trends will be creating the clothes and scenes to go along with the theme. Each scene is unique and they all have something to do with change.

Aaliyah Pierce, senior, is one of the students that will be designing and constructing clothing. Pierce will also be designing sets.

Pierce is excited for “seeing the final results.”

Design Studios and Apparel 1 and 2 sew the clothes that will be used in the fashion show. The show will also include clothes from participating stores such as Camille La Vie and Men’s Wearhouse.

Stephens and Schwartz also are having a hair and makeup academy come and do the model’s hair and makeup.

Tickets will be $5 in advance and will be sold in the commons or sold by the students involved with the show. The price will go up to $7 when purchased at the door.

The money that is earned from the show will be put back into the design classes.

Schwartz is most looking forward to “seeing it all come together.”
