The sophomore volleyball team placed second in league championship on Oct. 7 at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School.

They beat Olathe East to get into the championship which was against Lawrence Free State. 8The captains this year were Grace Swift and Peyton Fair, sophomores.

The team consisted of Swift, Fair, Becca Pierson, Lexi Tyler, Paige Wickliffe, Maddie Black, Mandi Marstall, Elle Peterson, Maggie Pelegrin, Reagan Wiley, sophomores, Mariah Shields and Giselle Jackson, freshmen, and manger Rachel Mast, senior.

“They were very competitive and spirited,” said Fitzgerald. They had an overall season record of 11-2.
