Scholarship: International Bullying Prevention

Deadline: Year round, but for July 2018, submit by April 30.

Amount: $500

Criteria: The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and has to write an essay in order to be selected. There will be two winners who will be notified in July.

Scholarship: Daughters of American Revolution

Deadline: Feb. 15, 2018

Amount: $5,000

Criteria: The applicant has to be a U.S. citizen and has to provide two to four letters of recommendation, original high school transcripts, list of extracurricular activities along with a 1,000 word essay. The applicant also has to have an initial GPA of 4.0.

Scholarship: Keith E. Barnes Scholarship

Deadline: March 2, 2018 at 4 p.m.

Amount: $5,000

Criteria: The applicant has to be graduating senior from Olathe North and Olathe South high schools pursuing a course of study in a science field. The application process is online only.

Scholarship: Hy-Vee Foundation

Deadline: March 2, 2018

Amount: $1,000

Criteria: Applicants must be seniors working at Hy-Vee, with any course of study that leads to a four-year college. An essay is also expected together with transcripts, a letter of recommendation, ACT scores and a resume.
