Apex Climbing Gym

Overland Park has brought the fun of rock climbing and the beloved family television show “American Ninja Warrior” to the Kansas City area. Apex Climbing Gym is an affordable, yet entertaining way to to stay in shape and bond with friends and/or family. The gym features mountainous walls for climbing and a designated room full of obstacles identical to those on “American Ninja Warrior,” such as the salmon ladder, rope climb, the infamous warped wall and more. The gym only costs $11 for a daily pass and $45-$60 for a prepaid monthly membership. Apex also hosts yoga classes Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. for $15. Apex has brought a unique form of exercise suitable for all ages.

‘Wonder Woman’

“Wonder Woman” debuted in theaters May 25. American pilot and spy Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) finds Diana Prince’s (Gal Gadot) home island of Themyscira. Trevor is trying to get valuable information to the Allied forces that could end World War One (WWI). Prince helps Trevor return to the Allied forces and try to end WWI. Wonder Woman was a great addition to the DC comics film franchise that all can enjoy.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” swung into theaters on July 7. Peter Parker (Tom Holland) struggles with maintaining his life as Spider-Man while having a normal high school life. In his struggle to become an Avenger, Parker spars with the Vulture (Michael Keaton) and upsets his mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr). Any fan of Spider-Man or Marvel movies should see this movie.
