The girls tennis season went well considering the team’s expectations.

For the team as a whole, their expectations were to have players go to state and they had three players do so.

Cady Lynn, sophomore, went to state for singles, and Nicole Alfaro, sophomore, and Kennedy Minkey, Junior went to state for doubles.

“It felt very rewarding to and exciting to play at state for South,” Lynn said.

The team tied for third at regionals with Olathe East while beating out Olathe North and Olathe Northwest.

Jon Renberger, coach, said, “It was a real pleasure to watch Lynn win the regional championship. We haven’t had anybody win a championship in a long time.”

With the team placing fourth at state, Renberger felt that they had a successful season representing the Falcons.
