As the school year comes to a close, the Senior Class is busy with senior outing, finals and graduation prep.

Senior outing is one of the last times that a majority of the Senior Class will get to spend time together outside of school in a safe and fun environment.

This year, the choice of location was PowerPlay.

On Friday, April 30, the seniors were able to play arcade games, eat food, ride go karts and much more.

After the short break from academics, the seniors must begin to prepare for finals. Seniors will take their even block finals on Tuesday, May 10, and their odd block finals on Wednesday, May 11.

On these days, seniors will receive their graduation cap, gown, stole and tickets. Each student is given five tickets for the gym and two tickets for the auditorium upon presentation of a picture ID card.

There will be a raffle for extra tickets once everyone has claimed theirs.

The Thursday after senior finals is reserved for the annual senior breakfast, recognition and graduation rehearsal.

The Chris Cakes breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the auxiliary gym. After eating, seniors will proceed to the auditorium at 10 a.m. for the recognition ceremony. Two tickets will be provided to each student for parents or others to attend. At 11 a.m., seniors will rehearse for commencement, and attendance is mandatory. The rehearsal will finish at approximately 1 p.m.

On Sunday, May 15, the Senior Class is to report to their assigned rooms at 6:30 p.m. prior to the commencement ceremony.

Commencement will begin at 7 p.m., but the doors open to guests at 5 p.m. Students  will not receive their diplomas until all fees are paid.

Forty-five minutes after commencement, seniors will load the buses for Project Graduation at Matt Ross Community Center. Tickets cost $25 and students must have a signed permission slip to attend.

There will be games and prizes along with activities such as swimming.
