Staff wishes peers happy holidays

As soon as Halloween ends, the holiday season begins. Music, food and colorful decorations fill the air with the holiday spirit. Most of the staff agrees that this is a wonderful time of the year.

“My favorite part of the holiday season is the snow and staying indoors where it’s warm,” Evan Kauffman, reporter, said. Most of the staff said that they also like snowy weather during the holidays.

Other staff members enjoy baking, spending time with family and  black-Friday shopping.

Though, the weather outside may be frightful, the staff figures out ways to enjoy the holiday season. Drinking hot chocolate and watching movies seem to be a favorite among the staff. Madison Kindig, reporter, said that her favorite holiday movies are “Elf” and “A Christmas Story.”

For some staff members, the holidays symbolize the importance of tradition. The staff all agrees that baking sweet treats and helping family in the kitchen are important parts of the season. “I always help my mom make homemade monkey bread to eat on Christmas morning,” Emily Cords, reporter, said.

Some of the staff have their own quirky family traditions like eating Chinese for Christmas dinner. Whatever the tradition, the staff is thankful for the time they get to spend with their families.

The holidays are a time for everyone to be jolly. We wish you a wonderful winter break and a ho-ho-happy new year.
