“The Walking Dead” is both a comic and television series that many horror and thriller enthusiasts have enjoyed. The franchise has done really well, especially in the past few years, and a new aspect to the series has been implemented.

“Fear The Walking Dead” is a new spinoff of the series, with new characters in a different location. It takes place at the very beginning of the apocalypse, about a month before the original series starts.

Anticipation has been high for the spinoff, and it shows a new aspect to the series, with people unknowing of the zombie epidemic lurching its way towards them.

The first episode opens to a drug addled Nick Clark watching as a walker attacks his fellow addicts while on heroin. He tries to convince himself it’s all a hallucination, but he can’t.

The main characters are Nick Clark, his mom, Madison Clark, his sister, Alicia Clark, Travis Manawa his stepdad, and Travis’s ex wife and son, Liza and Chris.

The show is full of suspense, and a lot of scenes in the show take place in a school with lots of people, and a hospital teeming with infection.

It also displays a fear many have of losing neighbors, losing children, or losing humanity. Ingrained in every human is the capability for fear, and this series taps into it in a way that raises goose bumps on people’s arms.

With a refreshing new cast of survivors, nobody knows if their new favorite character will be the first with a bite in their shoulder, or the last one to survive.

The eerie epidemic that ensues is seen in a new light, with confusion and mistaken police brutality.

It’s unknown if this new spinoff will take off in popularity as rapidly as its predecessor did almost 6 years ago, but it appears to contain just as much gore, suspense and overall bone chilling fear.
