What does Brett Hale enjoy about band and robotics?

Tristan Allen, Reporter

Brett Hale, senior, has a dream of working for either Boeing or Garmin. He was inspired by the experience he got from being in Robotics Team 5268, the school’s robotics team, to choose this career path.

One of the projects Hale worked on in robotics that he considers to be his favorite is a robot named Ike, who was able to lift up crates.

In addition to being a member of the robotics team, Hale has already started taking college credit classes.

Both of these things might help him out when he attends the school he has already enrolled in, Pittsburg State University, to major in manufacturing and engineering.

Robotics is not the only thing Hale is interested in. He also enjoys playing music and is a tuba player as well as a captain for the brass section in the Falcon Regiment marching band.

One of his favorite parts of being in the band program was playing in the Falcon Spirit pep band during school assemblies and basketball games. Another part of being in band that  Hale enjoyed was going to the summer band camps he attended for marching band, which he had a blast at.

“What happens at band camp, stays at band camp,” Hale explained about the fun times he had at summer band camps.
